Gulf Coast 7s Roster & rules

Women's Division Tournament Rules:

  • Each team will play each other once as Pool play.

  • The Top 2 teams will face each other in the finals for Cup Final (Trophy). 3rd and 4th play will play for Bowl Final (No Trophy)

Men's Division Tournament Rules:

  • Unlimited/Rolling Subs must be completed during a stoppage and with the ref's permission.

  • The division is split into three Pools A & B , each team plays four matches within their pool.

Men's Division Playoff Rules:

  • The Top Team from each will continue to the final.

  • Top 2 teams in the pool will advance to semi-final. 1st Pool A vs 2nd Pool B | 1st Pool B vs 2nd Pool A for Semi-Final - Final will be the winners of the semis.

  • In the event of teams finishing with equal records, tie-breaking will be in this order 1) Teams Record 2) Head to Head, 3) Points Diff, 4) Points Scored, 5) Points Against, 6) Coin Toss by the Tournament Director

Championship/Playoff Matches

  • Regular 7-minute halves will be played

  • In the event, scores are level at the conclusion of play. A 2-minute break will be followed by 5 minutes of golden point play (the first team to score will be the winner) if at the conclusion of the 5 minutes no scores have happened repeat until a score happens.

Tournament Disciplinary Rules:

  • If a player receives a yellow card, they are allowed to play in the following game

  • If a player receives a second yellow card or red card during the tournament, that player is banned from the Tournament

  • If a player has been accused of Referee Abuse, said player will automatically be banned from the tournament.

Non Qualifiers Brackets - Rosters Rules:

  • Each team and its players must sign and submit their tournament roster to the tournament director before their first match.

  • Rosters are limited to 12 players except for the Women's Social which have a limit of 15 players

  • Players may move within their registered club's first and second sides, players may not move from club to club within the tournament. If a club has third sides, they can play for the second OR third side only, not both.
