The Pelicans hosted the Gainesville hogs Saturday afternoon in their 2020 home opener. At the end of the first half and tough plays from both sides, Pelicans were up 6-5. Six points were secured by two successful penalty kicks by Zach Hatraf. In the second 40 minutes Hogs managed to score three tries. Pelicans made two more penalty kicks and have been awarded a penalty try in the last 10 minutes of the match. Final whistle was blown ending the match with Gainseville Hogs winning 29-19. One silver lining in the Pelicans loss was the foot of fly-half, Zach Hatraf picked up 12 of the Pelicans 19 points with 4 successful penalty kicks kicks and was awarded man of the match for it.
